CLR Event: Sandringham Primary Open House  LS, Thursday 21st March

Sandringham Primary have been using lesson study as an approach to whole school professional development since 2015.  This event showcases the approach through a Year 5 research lesson focused on language, collaboration and challenge in mathematics.  

A maximum of 14 people can attend the event at which participants will:

- hear an overview of lesson study and how it works

- explore the school's approach to whole school lesson study and making it sustainable

- discuss the mathematics for the lesson through the research lesson proposal, with the support of Professor Mike Askew 

- observe the research lesson and teacher post lesson discussion

- engage in discussion with the planning team about the lesson and the pupils' learning

Approximate schedule for the day (refreshments and lunch will be provided):

11:00- Arrival

11:10 - 11:35 Introduction and pre-lesson discussion

11:40-12:25 Observation of Yr 5  lesson

12:40 - 1:15 Lunch

1:15 - 2:00 LS at Sandringham

2:00-3:00pm Post lesson discussion with Yr 5 team

3:00pm Depart
