Collaborative Lesson Research - Copenhagen October 5th and 6th 2026
Lesson study experience in Denmark
This is a two-day event in Copenhagen, hosted by Danish CLR colleagues.
These two days are an opportunity to engage with teachers from Denmark, elsewhere in Europe and Tsukuba University Attached Elementary School in Tokyo.
Please note participants need to obtain their own travel and accommodation.
Copenhagen is well served by budget airlines from regional airports across the UK and Europe.
CLR will recomend a hotel near the event and host reflective meetings during the event for those joining the CLR contingent.
You can read more about the teachers from Japan in our blogs (e.g. see blogs 15 and 16 here and in our Lessons from Lessons area of the website here ).
Each of the two days will have the same structure:
Morning approx. 8:30-11:30: Presentation and discussion about a topic and how it is handled in Japanese textbooks, and Q&A about today's lesson plan.
Afternoon approx. 12:30-16:00: Open lesson followed by panel and open discussions about the lesson in relation to the lesson plan and the learning goal. Summary with remarks about how and what to learn from events like this.
Fee: CLR is making a charge of £100 for this event to cover refreshments/luch on each day and translation services (the lesson will be taught in Japanese and translated to English real time).
